From sketch to stitch: custom rugs reimagined
Each piece from LVLUPRUGS is a tactile exploration of form, color, and texture. It begins with a hand-drawn concept and comes to life through the use of a tufting gun and high-quality yarns. Designed on stretched monk’s cloth, every rug is crafted with care, blending precision and spontaneity to create surfaces that are visually dynamic and touchable.
LVLUPRUGS began during the early days of COVID, when I was looking for a creative outlet to bring comfort and joy into uncertain times. Inspired by my paint-by-number pet portraits, I taught myself tufting and quickly fell in love with the process. What started as a personal project grew into a passion for turning illustrations into textured, functional art.
Whether used as a rug or wall hanging, each piece brings warmth, personality, and artistry into everyday spaces. LVLUPRUGS transforms personal ideas into tangible works that reflect the spirit of their owners and celebrate the beauty of handmade design.

Consulting
Customers reach out with photos, themes, or ideas they’d like turned into a custom rug. These can be pet portraits, abstract shapes, or meaningful designs. We talk through sizing, pricing, and placement, whether it’s for the floor or the wall. I offer suggestions on color, layout, and style to make sure the final piece feels personal and fits beautifully into their space.

Illustration & creation
I illustrate the concept and create a “paint-by-number” style guide, replacing paint with yarn. I stretch monk’s cloth onto a nailed canvas and use my tufting machine to embed the yarn. I seal the rug with indoor/outdoor glue or heated fabric backing.

Final adjustments & shipping
Last I add a D-ring for wall hanging, apply a custom-cut non-slip grip, and back the rug with care. Each piece is wrapped in custom gift paper, boxed, and shipped. I track every order in an Excel sheet and personally manage customer service to ensure a smooth experience.
Thank you cards
Every rug comes with a handwritten thank you card placed inside the package as a meaningful gesture of appreciation. As a small business owner, I put care and creativity into each piece, and every purchase truly matters. These cards are my way of saying thank you for choosing handmade, for supporting independent artists, and for helping LVLUPRUGS grow.
Each note is written with intention to make the experience feel personal and memorable. It’s a small touch that reflects the heart behind every rug and the connection I hope to build with each customer.
Caring for your tufted rug
On the back of each thank you card, I include a rug care guide with clear instructions for cleaning and maintaining your tufted piece. Whether it's hung on the wall or placed on the floor, the guide helps customers feel confident in caring for their rug and keeping it beautiful over time.
Tufted textiles can be unfamiliar, so I created this guide to offer helpful tips and protect the quality of each piece. It’s part of my commitment to thoughtful customer service and reflects the same care I put into making the rug itself.
Hand-packed with care, delivered with heart
Every LVLUPRUGS piece is made to order, created with care and tailored to each customer’s vision. From the first sketch to the final stitch, I craft each rug by hand, making sure every detail reflects the ideas shared during the consultation. No two pieces are exactly alike, and that’s what makes each one special.
Once the rug is complete, I package it myself using custom gift wrap and a branded box to make the unboxing experience feel personal and exciting. I include a handwritten thank you card and a rug care guide to support the customer long after the rug arrives. I track each shipment and personally handle communication to ensure every order is delivered safely and beautifully.
This hands-on process helps me maintain quality, build trust, and create a memorable experience from start to finish. It is more than just delivering a product. It is about honoring the creative collaboration and making each customer feel valued and proud to own something truly one of a kind.
